Need help identifying a town/location near Palermo, Italy and related information
See the attached excerpt from a 1912 Passenger List which includes Francesco Alongi and for him shows a location as " Italy, South, Palermo, ????" and closest relative as "Father? Salvatore?".
The question marks above indicate the name of the location, word, or given name that I need help identifying.
Thanks.

Re: Need help identifying a town/location near Palermo, Italy and related information
Some ship manifests indicate who was left behind and where they lived, and where they were going, If this one does not you are out of luck.
There is not enough information on this post to help you out. Perhaps if you can supply the date of arrival and the ship?

Yes. I have been there. Not far from Palermo. Very pretty. Look it up, you may be surprised.
Good Luck

I looked-up Cefalu and found it is located on the northern shore of Sicily east of Palermo, midway between Palermo and Capo. It looks very interesting. Thanks again.

My map shows that it has a little mark above the last letter. I've seen this mark in other languages other than Italian. Don't know what it means.
