Doing my Family tree in France, I have discovered through a testimony (corroborated by 3 different people) that ì have a great great aunt who migrated to the US. All I know is that her family name was Gerault prior she got married with a Spanish guy and had one daughter named Pauline before the WW1. In her village, migration was organized by Aristide Belot who setled in Providence, Rhode Island, and was running a charcoal business. One of his descendant was named Dreyfus and was running a hotel in Providence.
How should I proceed to start searching US data, knowing that I have not been able to fin my aunt in the immigration records?
