From Poland, she left Southampton, but how did she ARRIVE in England?
Hi all,
I have the manifest showing (I think) my grandmother's departure from Southampton on the SS Aquitaine on September 11, 1920. But the typed manifest has so many spelling errors, I'm not really sure it's her. Is there a way to find her ARRIVAL in England (and hopefully some more accurate data)? She was born in Poland in about 1886. Her married name is Maryanna Pekala, but it's listed in this manifest as Noryamna Penkala (!!). All help will be much appreciated.

Re: MARYANNA PEKALA, IMMIGRATION
Thank you so much for this effort! I'm quite sure she traveled from Southampton to New York in September 1920. (This was certainly her only trip across the Atlantic in either direction.) What I'm hoping to find is some evidence of her travel from Poland to England, almost certainly in August or September 1920. Thank you!

Re: From Poland, she left Southampton, but how did she ARRIVE in England?
She arrived in England by ship. Ports of departure could have been Gdansk or Hamburg. It was also possible to go by rail to the French Coast and take a ferry.
