First of all can I say thankyou so much for taking time to help.
I'll explain the problem in detail. I live in Yorkshire in England and have behind researching my friend's family. Her grandfather was called Josef Heido. Josef was living in Devon, England when he married a local Devon girl called Harriet Hutchings. We know very little about Josef except what is on the marriage certificate.
They married in England on 13th July 1918 , Josef was aged 22, his father was Stephen Heido who was an engineer. I have made lots of enquiries but they have all drawn blanks. I have no clues about the nationality of Josef or his father Stephen.
