Looking for Walter E. Barter of William A. Bates from Minnesota to Canada between 1910 and 1913. He may have used either name, as he changed his name after leaving Minnesota. He was a blacksmith by trade. Was listed in the Minnesota census in 1910 as Walter Barter and had a blacksmith shop in North Battleford Saskatchewan in 1913 using the name William Bates.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.He was my grandfather.
