Where did they settle in Canada ? which Province. What year?
Did they obtain land. Here's a few listed in Western land grants. http://www.collectionscanada.ca/02/02011102_e.html then put in mus$$anski there are some that came up with spelling of Muszumanski.
If they are your ancestor's you can request copies of land grants from Ottawa, that may have village they came from. Then you can get naturalization papers which would have more information if after 1917 but, before 1917 papers were destroyed in Ottawa.

What area are you looking at? I am also looking for a Mushanshi or Mushansky. My grandmother was a Mushansky. If it is in Saskatchewan, I really want to be in contact with you.

Hello again! :)

I thought maybe adding my last name might stick out a bit. My grandparents are John and Laura Mushanski. John's parents migrated from the Ukraine during the war and settled into Northern Saskatchewan. Most of the Mushanski's are still in Northern Sask, but some of us have moved to the big city of Regina.
