Hello,

I just saw your posting.
I was born in Ellwangen,1948, apparently in the DP camp hospital.
My parents were Ukrainian and met there and got married.
I don't have a lot of info to share, I visited there twice on vacations. Nothing is left of the camp that I could find.

I too am researching and have just started my quest.

If you care to chat and share, I would be happy to.

Wasyl

I am researching Dziubinsky (Dziubinski) from Jablonow (by Suchastow), Hustiatyn, Western Ukraine. Do you know the originating village of Peter Dziubinsky's family?
Thanks. Kathy

Hello Kathy

I did some research some years ago for my father in laws family history. Pete Dziubinsky was born July 14, 1924 in Nowy Sacz, Poland, in a town called Wierchomia. It is a small town on the border of Poland and Czechoslovakia. This is not far from Lviv Ukraine were some of his family members now live. My wife has been there a few times and would know much more information then I would about his family members. She also speaks the language. We would be happy to help out any way that we can.

Thank you for you quick response. I am looking for a possible connections to Ignatz Dziubinski who was born in 1860 in Jablonow and was married to an Anastasia Yasinska (Yasinsky) born in1861. I will email you offline with further information on this family within the next few days. Thanks again.
