Adam Reimiller/Phillipina, Anna, Mary & Daniel Wagner in New Hamburg, Ontario
My ggrandfather, Adam Reimiller, and his wife, Phillipina Wagner were German immigrants that lived in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada in the 1870's. I believe they may have migrated to Texas and then Arkansas before setting in St. Louis, MO. Phillipina had two sisters, Mary Bannister, who died approx. 1945 in Canada, and Anna Wiedenhof (?), who was alive and that time and notified my grandmother of Mary's death. Phillipina also had a brother, Daniel, who migrated to Oklahoma.

Re: Adam Reimiller/Phillipina, Anna, Mary & Daniel Wagner in New Hamburg, Ontario
Dear Tom, I am so sorry. I had given up getting info on message boards and have not read them in ages. I am sure our families are connected. At the time I posted my message I only had the above names. I now believed I have possible other brothers and sisters. All of these names were listed as heirs to Mary Wagner Bannister. Here they are: 1. Mary Wagner Bean Bannister, Toronto Canada - died in 1945 - no children that I know of 2, Anna Wiederhold, Sister, Toronto Canada - no children that I know of (was living in 1945) 3, Daniel Wagner, brother, Tulsa, Oklahoma - possible daughter, Florance Harris (a niece) 4. Elizabeth Lucas, Ann Arbor, Sister, deceased in 1945, Michigan - possible children Conrad, Louis, Emanuel Lucas 5. John Wagner, Brother, deceased in1945, Tennesee - son, John R. 6. Lena Paul, California, Sister, deceased in 1945 - possible children Frances (Minnasota), Harry, Cyril, F. Williard (Arkansas) 7. Katherina McCleery, Sister, deceased in 1945, Jackson, Michigan - possible children George, Vera, Clarence (Pennsylvania) 8. Jacob Louis Wagner, Brother, deceased in 1945, Rochester N.Y. - possible son Reuben Possible children of Elizabeth or Katherina - Minnie Jefferson, Cora Marshall, Ester Southwell, Possible children of John, Jacob or Daniel - Ruth James (Tennesee), Milton Wagner (Tennesee), Other possible nieces and nephews of Mary Bannister in Ontario - Alice McNeill, Lorena Shier, Mable Palmer, Fred Wagner, Edith Barber, Marjorie Taggart This info was in letter to my grandmother from Anna Wiederhold on the death of Mary Bannister. I have tried to put families together with the info in letter. I hope you are related to one of the Wagner's above. You would have to be decended from one of the brothers. I hope to hear from you soon.

from thread: "Wagner that has relatives that came from Hesse-Darmstadt and Wurtemberg German"
Do you know if any of the WAGNER family traveled with a group or did they immigrate by themselves? Port? ship? date?

Re: Adam Reimiller/Phillipina, Anna, Mary & Daniel Wagner in New Hamburg, Ontario
Daniel and Elizabeth Wagner arrived in New York aboard the Charlemainge - He is found in Image 8 along with, what I believe is his brother Jacob (but I have been unable to trace him further - 2 Jacobs lived in New Hamburg at the same time.) She can be found in Image 2 as Elise Wagner - at least I assumed it was her..the age was correct. Biblical records indicated they left on "12 of March 1853, arrival in New York 29th April 1853, arrival in New Hamburg on the 11th of May 1853." She delivered a child in July of that year. The record is easily found searching the arival date and Wagner. I have no idea if there was a group of them or not. It is quite possible. Vicky

Re: Adam Reimiller/Phillipina, Anna, Mary & Daniel Wagner in New Hamburg, Ontario
I do have a Maria/Mary, but she is accounted for and married a Richard Bean. Although the other info you described does not fit anything else I have, I am curious about the Location. Two of Phillipina's sisters - Elizabeth and Katherina were married in Ann Arbor. I am wondering what drew them there? Katherina married in 1878 to John McCleery and Eliz in 1874 to John Frederick Lucas.

Re: Adam Reimiller/Phillipina, Anna, Mary & Daniel Wagner in New Hamburg, Ontario
I am sorry that I did not respond to your message sooner. I must have over looked it. I am hoping that we are of the some Wagner line. There are so many names that are the same. The Daniel S. Wagner that I have was Phillipine's brother. He was born in 1860 in Canada, and died in 1946 in Oklahoma. He was married to Henrietta Heyden. He had only one son that I know of, Rengaw Daniel Wagner. Rengaw (Wagner spelled backwards)was born November 23, 1883 in Brantford, Ontario. He died January 30, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. Phillipine and Daniel's mother and father were Daniel Wagner and Elizabeth Ritz. Their chldren were: Phillipine b 1853, Daniel S b 1860, John S B 1864, Mary (Bannister) b 1866 d 1943 Ont, Anna (Wiederhoff) b 1868, Lena (Paul) b 1869, Elizabeth (Lucas), Katherine (McCleery), and Jacob L. If these is the same family, I would love to know more. Norma St.Louis, Mo Ngreenjeans@aol.com
