How does one describe a floating swan (no demarcated water) with wings
raised? To cover the floating, I have seen the words
swan naiant,
swan floatant,
demi-swan,
swan issuant.
Whish is correct?
The wings are another problem. If the wings are raised, but the swan is not
taking flight, I don't see how to describe this. I have seen these words
used:
rousant,
wings elevated and addorsed,
rising.
Each of these words seems tio imply a bird raising the wings far above the
head and ready to leave the land/tree/water.
If you want to see a picture of the beast I am attempting to describe send
me an email. Thanks for your help.
