Hello all,
I am a student researcher at Lake Central High School and I
am researching the German, polish, Italian, and Irish, and English sides of my family
with the goal of trying to find my families coat of arms and to find out how
far back into my families ancestry I can go.
I have started a family tree of the Irish and Polish/German sides of my family.
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/78805186/family?fpid=42393293...The Bilski side of my family I can go as far back as 1882 before I start to hit dead ends.
The reason that the Bilski family name was changed is because when Maxamillion Bilski
immigrated to the US he changed the family name from Bilski to Bilsley to sound more American.
On the Irish side I can go as far back as the 1700s before I hit dead ends after James Whelan and Brian Cowell.
I also have the Giunta side (The Italian side of my tree)
that I have to start building if I can find more information on those ancestors.
I also know that during Immigration to the US that some of the names of my ancestors have
their name spelled wrong (which really puts a kink on finding new information).
any and all help is greatly appreciated! :)
If any of you can point me in the right direction/directions that will hopefully lead me to finding more ancestors (or more information on the ones I have currently listed in my tree) please contact me at
ryanp525@yahoo.com. When/if you contact me please put the subject as family research help so I do not think that email is spam.
Thank you all for your help!
Ryan Powers.
