Is This A Real Coat of Arms?

Hello,

I have this small silverplated trinket or ring box with this shield shaped coat of arms. What I've been able to dertermine is just the names of the symbols. Lion rampant(dexter), cross pattee or iron cross, 4 mullet.

I'm wondering if this is real or just artistic license. City or perhaps military or school? Thank you for any help you can give. Here is a link to the photo.

It has just enough anomalies to make me think that it's an artistic design that is supposed to look like a coat of arms, but which is not a coat of arms. For example, normally one would expect a shield divided into four quarters to have the separation lines centered on the shield; they are offset to sinister (right as you view it) and to chief in this rendition. I believe it's a pretty design, but not a real coat of arms.
