Hello amateurheralds,
Recently I bought a ceramic (faience) flask which has on one side the date 1767 and the letters M.B.F. and on the other side a coat of arms consisting of a shield divided in four parts. The left top part carries a white, sinuous 'wave' on a blue background; the right top part carries a black eagle, looking right, wings spread on a yellow background. The left lower part carries the eagle again while the lower right part carries the sinuous wave again.
Despite some intensive searching on the net I do not know where this coat of arms comes from or whom it belongs to (maybe german?).
Does anybody recognize this coat of arms or could someone help to solve this puzzle? I would be very grateful.
cheers,
Stefan
