Rescued photos STIRM family Iowa
I have several photos of the Stirm family, Jacob and Cora, and sons that need to find their families. I believe the family lived in NE Iowa, possibly Black Hawk or Bremer County.

Re: Rescued photos STIRM family Iowa
There were a Jacob and Cora Stirm in the 1920 Iowa census--they lived in Chickasaw Cty, New Hampton Twp at that time. Children were Burdell and Donald.

Re: Rescued photos STIRM family Iowa
My aunt married Burdell, when they were both in their late 60's. Burdell ( who we called Jake) was the older and seemed to have quite a few family photos. I' m hoping that somewhere out there are children or grandchildren of Donald. Or perhaps brothers or sisters families of Jacob or Cora? I just hate to think of tossing the photos, but I have pictures of Jake as I knew him in the 1970's forward and these people are not really my family., but I seem to have become the "caretaker" of all family information and photos. Just searching. Thanks for your help.

Re: Rescued photos STIRM family Iowa
My grandmother ILA LORAINE STIRM lived in Greene Iowa. She married Vivian Kingery and their son Lloyd was my dad. Before any photos would be discarded it would be interesting to know of any family ties you and I might have. The names you mention could be brothers to grandma. .. I am pretty sure her birth mother passed away when she was young and that alcohol was a problem for her father.
