My grandmother's father was emmigrated from Ireland as a young man, and with his brother moved to England. Some people think it may have been during the potatoe famine. His name was John Lyons and he lived from (1863-1941). I know my grandmother Anne Lyons went to Ireland to stay with relatives and work as a young woman. I don't know if she stayed with her father's family or her mother's. Her mother's parents were from Ireland too. Her mother was called Sarah Morley (b. 1865). Sarah Morley died when my grandmother "Anne Lyons" was 7. So we know we have "Lyons" relatives in Ireland - from "Mayo". I would just like to know if anyone could give me any information Apparently records aren't available because all the records were burnt at a fire in Dublin.
Thank you,
Maureen
