What is your oldest family heirloom?

My oldest family heirloom is a silver pitcher that came with my 3rd great grandma and her family in1846 when they came to Yerba Buena (San Francisco) on the ship "Brooklyn". I also have both my grandfathers' dog tags (round) from WW1. My maternal grandpa served in San Francisco's own 363rd infantry and was wounded in 1918 in the Argonne forest. He was at St Mihiel and received a medal from the citizens of St Mihiel in the 1930's. My paternal granddad served in the 222nd signal battalion and was in Maryland at the time of the armistice so he didn't go "over there". Plus I have both my parent's silver baby cups and spoons. Dad was born in 1919 and mom in 1922.

Mine is probably my second great grandfather's hat. He was a coal miner in West Virginia in the late 1800s.

My oldest is probably my g-grandmother’s bible, which is written in side the date given to her as 1860.
We have a lot of items that are important to us. Some of them are old and some not so old. The trick is letting each generation know why it’s important.
