Marriage of first cousins screwing up my ancestors reports

Five generations back, it seems my wife's family includes first cousins marrying. What makes it interesting it that they are one generation apart. In other words they are 1st cousins 1 time removed. Ignoring the obvious issues; this causes all current family to have the same ancestor in 2 generations, so when you do an ancestor report there are hundreds of duplicates. I use The Master Genealogist software. Is there a way to highlight the duplicates or suppress the details of the duplicates so the reports don't look so confusing.
I hope this is clear enough to describe the situation. I don't want to hide the fact the cousins married (I told my wife it explains a lot about her mothers family hahaha) I just want to eliminate duplication of the same person showing up in 2 different generations.
Thanks,
John
