My mother has just told me she remembers a story my grandmother told her but since it's in bits and pieces I can't even begin to look it up. The story is that her family line is from royalty, and why not whose story isn't,lol. Anyway supposedly somewhere along the Van Dyke or Pimblott line my ancestor was a princess and fell in love with a stable hand. They wanted to get married but she couldn't marry a commoner so they ran off to the America's. Sound familiar? I personally think the story is folklore, but my older cousin says he heard the story as well. He tells me to look up the name Brown and look somewhere in England, not much to go on. Anyway, should I even bother to look?
