I think this is a great idea! And, if any of you want to read more about this, there is a wonderful book (actually two, now) written by Hank Jones, Jr. called "Psychic Roots"
I don't know what the second one is called.

I have always had some strong instincts and feelings about things when doing my research.
Have been at it for 35 years or more. So, have had LOTS of odd things happen.
It doesn't matter, whether I'm doing it for others or myself. I still get nudges and help from "someone, somewhere".
The most recent was yesterday at a meeting. I was sitting at a table for dinner with another two ladies I didn't know.
One of them mentioned that her husband was from a county near where I live and since, I had said my maiden name was Clark. She asked if I was related to the Clark's in this other county.
I said "no", but I asked if her husband was a descendant of this one Anthony Clark, of that county.
She said "yes, do you know of him?"
I replied that "no", I did not but,I had received an email from a lady, that morning, asking me about him. (Since my name was listed mistakenly, as a lookup for that county and had Clark on the list.)
To make the story shorter, the lady who emailed me that morning and the lady at the table (her husband) are descended from the same man and if I hadn't gotten the email when I did and gone to the meeting, the lady emailing me would still be looking for the ancestor she had been searching for, for years ....

Here is another one:
A couple of years ago, I was working for this man, who has a very common name and I had been struggling to find his ancestors. About, to give up on him, I was in a library in Alabama, because his people lived there at one time.
I had looked at all the county records available and was about to call it quits, when I read that there was some mention of a daughter, of this family in a certain book, and gave the books name.
I figured there would be a slim chance of me finding this book in this library, but was about to go request that the librarian find out for me, when, as I passed the return book cart, I looked down and there was the book I was looking for, lying on the cart, all by itself..
I found the daughter listed and from the clues given in it, went on to find the family back to Scotland in the 1600's and over 900 family members for my customer.
So many times, that I can't count, I've had dreams that tell me what to do next, or solve a puzzle that has been haunting me. So, I always listen and follow those hunches!!
