I'm looking for information on Robert EGGEBRECHT, son of John Theorder EGGEBRECHT.

In the 1880 U.S. Census, the family is shown as living in Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The father, John, was born in Prussia and "labors in Foundry." His 16 year-old son was a Machinest born in WI.

Roberts siblings were: Alvina [20], Anna [14], and Richard [10].

Their mother was Ricka [Friedericka], also born in Prussia.

Sometime after 1880 son Robert immigrated to Monterey County, CA and proved a land patent in 1892. He died in Monterey County on April 23, 1944 at the age of 80.

Robert's original homestead residence is about to be conserved as it is now on National Park land and I am trying to find out background information on Robert.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Anita C.

For anyone still researching this family, there are entries in the index culled from German newspapers published in Milwaukee. For instance, an 1880s family death notice for Richard, parents John & Friedericke.

Contact me directly for full citation/s, look-ups, or copies. I'm happy to provide this information from the most current version of the data.
