Hi, I know this is a random response, but my Grandfather was adopted out and didn't know his parents. Although this Mothers name was listed as Bridget Woods (his fathers name wasn't listed) but his middle name was listed as 'William'. Is it possible there is any connection with your family? He was born in Amersham[England] around the 1930's. Is it possible there is any connection? I'm sorry if my post seems insensitive but its important for me to find this.
Sorry for you loss.
Sincerely,
Courtney.
