Ida Schnieder was a Canadian researcher who took it upon herself to research the De La Ronde family because of her own personal interest. She was not related. She reported her investigations to various people who were. I was told she had independent means and financed the research herself. Her papers are in the Thumder Bay ON Museum and I doubt if they are online. I had to pay a considerable sum for them to copy them for me and had to specify each item I wanted. They are a mess of letters, reports, etc. See other links of this site for more info.
