I have been doing research on my Kaney side of the family and I have come across where there are several Kaney's listed on the Dawes Roll that are Chickasaw. I am looking for information on how did the Kaney surname enter into the Chickasaw Nation? I have done research on this and have not found any information. If anyone has anything on this or maybe where I can try to find the answers to this question, I would be very thankful. Thank you, Gavin
