My mother has always told me her mother was full blood Cherokee Indian.From her picture I believe she was a full-blood Indian.They were from the Clarksdale,Mississippi area,also had heard the word Riverbottom area.
Humphries was her maiden name and Taylor was her married name.Does anyone know anything about the Humphries or Taylors from this area? Rena Mae Humphries/Clarksdale area and then Rena Mae Taylor/Hinds area.Rena married Newt Taylor and they together had Albert,Junior,Lois,Ruth and Ruby,although Rena died young of T.B., and all the children were put in a home in New Orleans.Looking for any and all info.Thank you,Ruby Taylor's daughter,Robin.
