Can anyone tell me if their are records anywhere that lists the names of Indian's that had changed their names at some point? Or anyone for that matter.... Looking for this information in the states of Tennessee and Texas... My gg grandfather Elihue W. Hartless supposedly was nearly if not full blooded Cherokee Indian, but we can not find anything else about him as far as who his parents were, ect... We have also found his name spelt Elisu W. Hartlefs..
