I posted on another forum about my GGGGGrandfather "Ash Hopper" who had two daughter that are known of one was Annie Hopper the other Lottie Hopper. He was born in the mid to late 1700's and lived near Peavine Creek in what was Cherokee county but later became Catoosa. Something of interest someone on another board said he was mentioned in a School text History book of Georgia . It anyone knows of this or it could be a copy that is not used now, or could just be a book for children living in the Catoosa county, please inform me about it, as I would want a copy. WRITE TO THIS FORUM WITH YOUR REPLY. And I am very interested in just what the book had to say about "Ash Hopper"??? whoses daughters both married Trouts who also were said to live in the Peavine Creek community.
Another intersting thing happened. I did not know that Oklahoma also has a "Catoosa county" so I do a search and on Goggle on the page telling about the site it mentions someone with the last name....Hopper!!...so of course I am thinking I may have relatives "Hopper's" that went on the Trail of Tears to Oklahoma.
Any information about "Ash Hopper" would be appreciated. His granddaughter Elizabeth Didamia Trout was my GGGrandmother and married into the Morris family .
