I need some advice- on one of the Cherokee mail lists a woman is translating names into Cherokee for people. I was on a chat and mentioned that my grandmother's Cherokee name was Sa'li and her English name was Sallie. I was laughed at and told that this was not true by some Cherokees!
How do I find out the truth?
