I have a Mourning/Morning Smith married to a William Brown. Morning's sister Sarah Smith married William's brother, Jesse Brown. Morning was said to be Cherokee. Jesse & William were sons of Robert Brown Sr. [1759-1840]. William [b.1789, SC.- d. aft. 1850, Habersham Co., GA.] married Morning in 1822, Franklin Co., GA. Jesse [b. abt. 1796, SC.- d. bef. 1840] married Sarah in 1824, Franklin Co., GA. I have more information on these families. A Fisher family who married [Robert's mother] into Robert Brown Sr.'s family was said to be Cherokee, per rejected Guion Miller applications by Robert's descendants Hugh Burdit "Bud" Meeks & James Jackson Blackburn.
