This is in response to your posting of 2007. If your great grandma said she was 100% Indian, that means both of her parents were 100% also. They would have been born circa 1870-1880. I dont know if there were any Indian reservations in Florida at that time. The nation had been moved to Ok. many many years previously. However, since she was born in Florida, she would have been Seminole. The Seminole Nation was created roughly about 1800. Many other Indian Nations (mostly Creeks) had moved to Florida, as had many Afro-American slaves. The resuling mixture became Seminoles. On the 1910 census there was a Minnie Lewis, born 1903 in Wauk--Co., Fla. Her father was Thomas and mother Martha. They were Mulatto. Probably this wasnot your ancestors. BobEddings - no relation.
