Surnames: Wilbur, Dougherty, Ross
Henry Charles Wilbur, b. 30 Oct 1811 in Brighton, Monroe County NY married Fannie Dougherty b. 15 May 1819 in Ireland. Daughter Mary Ann Wilbur b. 14 Aug 1847 in Michigan. Mary Ann married David Ross of Taymouth Township in 1866. I am looking for parentage of Fannie Doughtery and Henry Wilbur. Also any other information on both the Wilburs and the Doughertys. I have some information to share.

My late husband's great Grandmother was Christina Knapp.

She is the daughter of Daniel David Knapp, born in Griesheim/Hesse in 1820 This is near Darmstadt in Germany.
Daniel married Margaret Dahmer, born 1822. He died in 1897 in Normanby twp, Grey County South, Ontario.

They had four children: David b 1846 (wife is Dorothea)

Christine, born August 28, 1853 in Waterloo County, and died in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on Dec. 2,1886. She had married George Schueler on Feb 6, 1872 in Neustadt, Ontario. They had five children; Daniel H. Schueler (1872-1894), Katherine b 1876, Henry, 1878, Barbara (Teller), 1879-1969, and an infant daughter who is buried with her in Clinton Grove Cemetery on Cass Avenuem, Mt. Clemens, MI.

I am looking for ancestors in Griesheim. I understand it was a Catholic village. Were your ancestors also Catholic and if so, have you any information on the church in or near that village?
