There was oral tradition told in my family that my 4th great grandmother was a full blooded Tuckahoe Cherokee so would that entail Melungeon ancestry?

She was born in Patrick County VA about 1797.

Her grandchildren all had dark olive colored skin and blue eyes.

I'd like to be able to trace her heritage if I could but I've run into brick walls all I know is that she married a McGee. I suspect her name was Martha Thornton.
