I have just had my mtDNA checked at 23andme and discovered that my maternal inheritance is Ashkenazi Jewish. The names, birth dates, father first name, and place locations (all in Hessen, Germany) are as follows:

Phillipine Leonhardt (1822)/father Johann, Dreieichenhain, Hessen, Germany;
Anna Maria Baronz (1799)/Elias, Offenbach, Hessen, Germany;
Sophia Hohlfeld (1771)/Johann, Langen, Offenbach, Hessen;
Anna Maria Lohr (1737)/Eobald, Langen;
Susanne Wurm (1697)/Anthon, Langen;
Catherine Lohr (1670)/Michael, Langen;
Ursula Schickedanz (1645)/Johannes Sprendlingen,Offenbach, Hessen.

I am aware that many of the Jewish families that were exiled from Spain in 1492 went to Austria & Germany as well as Turkey (I also am 10% Turkish which might be from this connection) Does anyone know if any of the above names might have been Jewish?
