Depollon-- I have been searching my greatgrandfather and could only find him in the 1920 census in mingo co. wv. He was from Italy. That is all I know about him except that he married a Lydia from WV and had my grandma. Other than that he and her seem to have disappeared. I am desperately trying to track them for my mom. Please, someone help. Thanks

Hi, There are several things you can do to start. In your queries, you can provide more info, like names, dates, locations. You can also go to the Mingo County board, the surname board and leave queries everywhere, including as much info as possible. The more diverse your locations for queries, the more likely you are to have the right relative find your query. You should be able to find the marriage license for your grandfather and see if his parents are listed. Also use the soundex for various name possiblities. You'll be very surprised at how transcribers can really guess wrong on what they are reading.
Happy searching!

Surnames: Nonini & Molatore
I am researching the family of my father, Louie Nonini, his father Giovanni "John" Nonini was born in Novatte Mezzola, Sondrio, Lombardia, Italy on 20 January 1889. I am trying to locate any information for his parents and brother's and sisters. I do know of one brother, George Nonini, and that is about all I know of him. I did find information on my dads mother Maria Molaotre, born on 3 June 1883 in Cercino, Sondrio, Lombardia, Italy. They did not know each other there but met and fell in love here in the states. Anyway, if any of you folks out there know who my grandfather's parents may be or any other information would be great.

Thank you,

L. Nonini

Hi Michelle, I am researching this family for my niece on her mother's side of the family. Angelina Lauria would be her great-great grandmother. The line I have is her grandmother, Florence Cuda married Ewell Denny, Florence was the daughter of Frank Cuda and Angelina Chardella, and Frank Cuda was the son of Angelina Lauria and Anthony Cuda. Is this your line?
