Dear marcus,

You are a cousin. I descend from the older sister of William and John, namely Elizabeth Gertrude Schulmeyer. The Charles Keefer(Kiefer) you refer to in your post was the husband of Elizabeth Gertrude.I have this generation fairly well documented. My grandparents were from Indianapolis as was my mother.I was even born in "naptown" although I grew up west of the Mississippi.Bet you have Indiana connections.

I would love to exchange information and get this part of the family more documented. Sending this in case your email has expired.

Bill Doolin

I have recently found out that my gggrandfather was Christopher Wachstetter and my gggrandmother was Johanetta Wille. They lived in Clay twnship in Hamilton cty, Indiana in 1870. Christopher was 43 and Johanetta was 42 in 1870. They had six children living at home. Their ages were 2 - 14yrs. I have not been able to find out any more. I do know that Charles, my ggrandfather was born in Indiana in 1858. So I know they had migrated to the US before 1858. They came from Wurtenburg, Germany.

My father Harold Woolman was born on a farm at New Augusta, Marion County, on 3-28-1913. The farm was called "the Wachstetter farm". Hershel Woolman of Shelbyville might know details. I knew a fellow named Dan Wachstetter who lived in that area 40 years ago.
