I would like to trace the family of this man who was the
Commander in Chief of the 93rd Regiment at Foot of the
Argyle and
Sutherland Higlanders. He won his VC at the relief of Lucknow in 1848. He was born near the
McBean district of Kinchyre near the Eastern end of
Loch Ness.
His medals, sword and uniform are on display in the 93rd's museum at
Stirling Castle. A fantastic visit for anyone who is a
McBean. Can anyone let me have some information on this wonderful man?

McBean and I am trying to fill in her side of the family tree.
