I am researching the McBean tree for my wife whose maiden name was Felicity Jane McBean. My wife's g-grandfather was Alexander McBean b- 1832 Stirlingshire . m- 1857 Margaret Flint Carfrae Currie Midlothian b 1833.
Alexander's father was Donald McBean who married Jane McGregor from Alva Invernepshire.
Has anyone information on Donald or his parents, grandparents and g- grandparents?

Margaret Flint Carfrae was my 2g Grandfathers' sister. She married in Melbourne, Victoria Australia My maiden name was Carfrae

Thanks for the reply Nannette, I have found a lot more information on the Carfraes. Do you have any info on the Carfrae tree so we can compare how the two trees combine?

Felicity and I have just come back from Scotland and visted about ten villages of the Carfraes as well as the Village called Carfrae and Carfraemill.

How do I send you some of the info I have gleaned through various connections to family members' trees?

Hi Nannette, How far back have you been able to research on the Carfrae side and the McBean side? Felicity my wife is a McBean and she is Alexander and Margaret's G Granddaughter. They had 4 son's, Alexander 1858, George 1860. Charles 1864 and Felicity's Grandfather Henry Darling 1868. She knew him as "Papa Sick" as he was quite ill when she was a little girl.
