Clan Jardine - Family History & Genealogy Message Board

Looking for Grave in Kings Ripton, Huntingdonshire, England

I am a member of The Offley Family Society of England and as well Commissioner for Canada for the Jardine Clan Society of Scotland. I have an OFFLEY connection in my family; wherein the surname OFFLEY carried over to a Christian name beginning with my Great Grandfather Offley William Jardine 1st b1844 d. 1914 and follows down to my son Offley Brian Jardine 5th b.1959.
Newsletter #35 Autumn 1996 of The Offley Family Society shows an Isacc Offley son of John Offley buried at Kings Ripton, Huntingdonshire Cemetery July 27, 1673.
My family Christian name Offley is shown as having descended from one Isacc Offley through a female to the Jardines. This is the only Isaac Offley to show up in hundreds of names recorded in The Offley Family Society holdings so far.
I am wondering if someone may have any further details of One Isacc Offley or perhaps a parishioner might obrtain a photograph of the cemetery monument along with any inscription thereon.
I would be willing to reimburse for any expense involved.

Clan, Sept, and Surname URL's and Reference Web sites

This thread is intended for posting of current URLS of other
web-sites that have information on the history or information
on the Surname or Clan. These web sites can include
archives, libraries, or just the Clan or Sept web site etc
So Clan Secretaries can keep this thread current or just
a interested member of the surname that has the
web site for their own family.

Clans and Associations postings

Dear All:

This thread/topic is intended as a forum for the
Clan to post their Notices and the Clan Associations
to post their web sites, notices of meetings and
gatherings. Even Newsletters ( by permission of the
Clan officials) are permitted here.

The correct procedure for posting here is to:
A: do a reply to this message. Erase the subject heading
above and then >
B: enter the name of your association and connection
to the clan.
C: Follow on postings are then replied to that unique
association. I would think that subject and dates
would then be appropriate subject headings.

The intention is to allow the Clan to have a thread
and each respective association to have a thread that
it can maintain with its newsletters and notices.
That way the basic thread of the association can be
referenced by URL in emails and other web sites.

Please forward this message to the Clan headquarters office,
its international associations and
other affiliated groups that may be interested in
posting here. Posting this notice to the Surnames message boards
and Surname mailing list or sending to Secretary of the
Clan, the Clan Associations and the Septs of the Clan
would also be appreciated.

Ancestors postings

Dear All:

Please start a separate sub-thread for each Clan ancestor.

The thread on this board (and the mailing list) is intended for
comments, hints on how to locate, and discussions
on those distant ancestors ( sometimes brick walls) that are
very hard to locate. Anyone with knowledge of the
Clan Ancestors or searching for ancestors and especially
the Clan Genealogist are especially encouraged to post
their finding on the Clan ancestors.

Please do not use this board for merely looking for
recent descendants. That function is better in the
Surname message boards and mailing lists.

Use the standard procedure in the subject header of
inserting your family ancestor information in the following format
NAME > location > dates
