My surname is HUNTER. My earliest known HUNTER ancestor is James, born August 14, 1778. He was born in PA or Ireland. He supposedly went to Loudoun Co., VA sometime after 1778. He then traveled to Gallatin county, KY., where he married Rachel SCOTT on March 14, 1806. He raised 9 children in Gallatin county, Ky. He moved his whole family to Sangamon county, IL., in December 1828, where he live until his death on April 23 1867. Any connections?
