Does anyone have any information on the Merriweather (any spelling), Milner (any spelling), or Dowd family? They are African American and Hickman, Kentucky (Fulton County), and Clinton Kentucky (Hickman County) are the only places that I know of of where they resided. Any help would be great. I'm at the biggest brick wall ever (laughs).

There are Merriweather's in Clarksville, TN who own a Funeral Home. Clarksville, TN is just next to the KY line.
Many of my family members lived in both places.

I was looking for any info on Pompey Merriwether (b. 1 Mar 1895 d. Dec 1947) or Finis Meriwether (b. Sep 1847 d. 8 Aug 1920).

Actually I just noticed that Pompey (pronounced Pomp-ee-ya) is from Tiptonville, TN.
