researching the liggons/leach family

I am trying to locate the names of salves owned by James Monroe the fifth presidents slave ownership records. He stated that he did not like or wanted to separate his slaves ,and I feel that it is a possibilty that family of ELLIC ESTES may have been raised on the HIghland palntation the Ellis family owned allot of land to people of color and I need to see the names of slaves owned to further research the last names of ESTES,JONES,BROWNS.. if you could help I would appreciate it. ty email me at alicialacyparker@gmail.com

My gr-gr-gr-grandmother was an Estis then a Brown then a Payne in Albemarle County. I did find a slaver owner by the name of Estis/Estes in Albemarle County. What are the first names of your Estes/Brown ancestors?
