A large number of the colored people of this city (Zanesville, Ohio) attended the sessions of the general conference of the A.M.E. church at Columbus Sunday.
Among those who went to the capital city were Charles Ransom, William Leach, Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Jackson, George Parker, Mrs. Jackson Carter, and daughters, Misses Zetta, Daisy and Lottie, Mrs. Washington Hill and Miss Nina Clinton. Mrs. N. T. Gant and daughter Miss Lulu have been visiting friends in Columbus and attending the conference.
The members of the missionary society of St Paul's church will go to Columbus in a body Thursday evening and a large crowd is expected to go next Sunday also.
