Hello Maryqcontrary. Mississippi has the Chancery Clerk's office which sometimes has plantation indexes and deed information for these places. (at least the one in Wilkinson Co. does). I would suggest that if you can make your way to Lowndes Co. it would be worth you time to research this with the Chancery Clerk's office. I was able to find an unlisted plantation in Wilkinson Co. where my great-great grandmother was interned. This planatation is never mentioned in an historical context at all.
