I am trying to locate info on my grtgrandmothers family. She was Rachel Martin from Ms who Married Richard Latin also of Ms. I have Marriage records from Tensas parrish from 1902. They had a daughter Pauline Latin who was my mothers mother. Also Pauline was married to Henry elligan in 1919 also( Tensas Parish.) In the 1910 census Rachel /Richard a Robert Martin believed to be Rachels brother and a Betsy Thomas unknown to whom related or how but listed as possible grnd mother. It is assumed she is related to rachel as she and Richard are close in age.I would appreciate any help

Rachel was born about 1887- Richard Latin 1855 and Robert Martin about1886. rachel died in nola in 1945 and was buried in newellton La . Robert is believed to have died in nolaaround 1965. no info on when or where richard or henry ellin died it,s assumed newellton La also

Hello,
My Martins are also from Mississippi. My Gr Gr Greatgrandfather was Prince Martin born abt 1837.Prince married Caroline Mcnabb. Children were:James ,Gabrial, Fannie(my gr greatgrandmother) Eugene and florence.I do have the 1870,1880 and 1900.So let me know if you need a look-up.Maybe we can find a connection. Cianan

HI RECENTLY FOUND YOUR RESPONSE. WOULD LIKE TO SHARE AND COMPARE INFO. POSSIBLE CONNECTION. WE HAVE A FANNY NOT SURE IF SHE WAS A LATTIN OR MARTIN. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOURS. MYMOTHERS SIDE WERE THE MARTINS TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE.

I hope you are still out there. Since I posted this message I have gone through a divorce, sent one son off to college, returned to Louisiana and I am getting ready to send the last one off to college. With that said, I am not sure if your response will go to the old email addy or not but my new and permanent email is wcjradmin@gmail.com.

I still research and have accumulated over 10,000 names and other data from the Florida Parishes.
