Oklahoma
,
Ashdown

Arkansas, Spartanburg,
South Carolina

also on the Cherokee Reservation in the

My father was born in Muskogee,
Oklahoma
(Ray
Owens
). He is of mixed Native-American and African-American descent. Maybe there is a possibility of a connection since I am researching his family as well.

My grandfather's name was Sam(p)son S
Owens
.
He lived in Clearview (
Okfuskee Co
.) Oklahoma
and before that in
Ashdown
(
Little River Co
.)
Arkansas and in the Carolinas. He had several
sisters and brothers. Could he be related to
your family? Did your
Owens
family live in
Arkansas and/or the Carolinas?
