I was searching first a Marie Brun married Charles Thomson first located in St,Charles parish, but nothing came up, I have some old early records of that parish and also "Little Red church"records and I noticed a record about Anne Chagnot Brun, then it said Widow of Jean Baptiste dit LeBrun Bossier, so I'm thinking I'm searching the wrong name. I know Marie was from that area before coming up to Rapides & Natchitoches parish she was born abt 1765, since Marie is tacked on to all girls names she has another name I'm sure. only record I found was in grandson's baptismal it said Grandparents Charles Thomson from Charlestown & Marie Brun,(Heberts' Book Vol,1)) I have Abstracts of Catholic church 1803-1826 and they have the Brun & LeBrun listed also under the Bossiers. just wondered if you know of other church reords down there that I can write to.Thanks for your time.....myrtlallen@aol.com
