Well, this is FOUR years late, but I hope you get it. My father, Victor Eugene Pregeant, Jr., grew up in the Bayou Lafourche area. His father was Victor Eusebe Pregeant, and his grandfather was Hermogene Victor Pregeant, one of the sons of Valery Prejean. I have also seen somewhere on-line a genealogy noting that one of Hermogene's brothers was named Basile Prejean but was also known as Valery Valsin Pregeant--all a little confusing, to be sure.
