G S Wolvaardt came from Germany to South-Africa about 1750's?
Du Plessis at this stage I am only looking for South-African
descendants of Jakobus Lodewicus du Plessis (13/4/1894-4/7/1968) and if possible I'd like to know who his parents were.
About the Hennings I'd like to know the family of Baltrina Frederika (néé Henning) du Plessis , her sisters etc.

From South-Africa, I call upon your knowledge about the Wolvaardt-families. My husband's g/grandfather was Georg Sebastiaan Wolvaardt born 7th Dec. 1850 and I believe his ancestors were from Boxberg in Germany during 1750's and that that GS wolvaardt were a "stalkneg".
Kindly answer even if you got different spellings
Thank you so long

Wolvaardt in German is "Wohlfahrt"
Stalkneg could be a "Stallknecht".

Hi Elize, The very first Wollie to set foot in South Africa was SEBASTIAN WOHLFAHRT, from BOXBERG, in WURTTEMBURG, GERMANY who landed in Feb.1730 at Cape Town. He married REGINA BARBARA VAN BILLION on 15 Sept. 1748. They had 9 children, 5 boys; PHILLIPUS BERNHARDUS (1749), GEORG SEBASTIAAN (1751), PIETR JOHANNES (1753), GUILLIAM (1760), ERNST HENDRIK (1765).He later became the owner of the farm Versailles, Wellington, Western Cape. I am working on the family tree and need whatever info. you may have & care to share. I have lots about the history, in Afrikaans.
