I am hoping that someone can help me. I recently discovered my 3x great grandfather was publican of the Highland Laddie in the 1860's/1870's. Although I have searched various websites specifically about local pubs in the area in the 19th century I can find very little on the Highland Laddie. Is there anyone that has any information they could share with me about the pub, what it looked like, how old it was, if there are any surviving documents relating to it available etc. Hope someone can help!
