Delighted to hear from you Graham!! I have recently made contact with your cousin Shirley Horton, who has been wonderfully helpful telling me about her Aunt Kit and Harry.
Harry Gray WAS born Henry Gray on 27 August, 1899 in Wimbledon. He was the younger brother of my grandfather, Leonard Samuel Gray. I was in London last year, where I FINALLY found out the name and address of Peele's. No one in the family on this side of the pond (Canada, where my grandparents arrived in 1921) knew what the pub was called or its address.
Would you like to contact me on regular e-mail, please? I ask this as there are attachments I would like to send you. I hope to hear from you soon.
