Thanks, that really helps - looks like there is a group for my surname on Ancestry after all. It's private but I've bookmarked it, I'll see if I can join later, perhaps when I have gotten my dad the y-dna test. I just got my autosomal results back today so I'm a little preoccupied with that right now!
