This is rather embarrassing, but I'm preparing to transfer some Y-DNA results from Ancestry to Family Tree and I've noticed difference in values that I'm REALLY confused about. I realize Ancestry doesn't support this test anymore and indeed the information isn't even visible now. However, I had downloaded it and taken screen shots.
If you remember, for those of us that had thus done, the results were provided in two different ways.
There was a "Matches" page which showed the tested person's results and any relatively close matches. There was also a comma separated values file which could be downloaded.
Well, now I've realized if you compare those two sets of results for the same person, they don't entirely match! For example, the "Match" page starts with marker DYS19a = 14, DYS19b = -, DYS385a = 11, DYS385b = 14, DYS388 = 12
The CSV file starts with DYS19 = blank, DYS385 = blank, DYS388 = 12
Can someone help me understand this.
Thanks

I'm not sure what is causing you a problem. I have transferred some Ancestry yDNA tests to FTDNA. Best I remember there are 3 or 4 markers that the two companies assigned different numbers to. You will need to input each marker just as Ancestry had them. FTDNA will do the adjustments. FTDNA will also ask you to send them documentation (the CSV file should do) so they can check your input before they post it.
Hope this is of some help.

Here are the differences, but as Nachalink123 said, FTDNA will do the conversion for you:
